Step Right Up, Friends!
Start exercising your competitive eating muscles: the 97th Annual Nathan's Famous July Fourth International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island is this week! Located at the flagship Nathan's location on the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues, this gut-wrenching competition begins at 11:30 am on Wednesday, July 4! Nothing washes down a Nathan's Famous, Inc. hot dog better than delicious Coney Island Craft Lagers®. Come discuss the contest outcome over a cold, craft beer with the Shmaltz Brewing posse at the World's Smallest Brewery - Coney Island Brewing Company - located at W. 12th Street & Surf Avenue (holiday hours: 10 am - 6 pm). Shmaltz will have various beers from the Coney Island® line-up available for purchase and a rare preview of the new, limited Barrel Aged Human Blockhead® (launching in NYC on July 1, 2012).
In honor of the Coney Island Fourth of July festivities, Coney Island Brewing Company will be setting off some fireworks of its own by cookin' up some special, small batches of American as Apple IPA and American Pie Sour Cherry Ale. Check out these tasty beers at Coney Island Brewing Company later this summer.
American as Apple IPA: Uncle Sam wants YOU to drink our American As Apple IPA! Sweet red apples lure your palate onto this explosive taste-ride, just before the hops cyclone in and let your mouth drop!
American Pie Sour Cherry Ale: We'd like to be humble, but our American Pie Sour Cherry Ale will set off fireworks - in your mouth. Brewed with sour cherries, this isn't the sweet kind you'd bring home to Mom, but an edgy tart you'll want to keep all for yourself.
And if that is not sweet enough, we will be selling $4 beers for the 4th all day!!!
